Marlon Kobacker, the leader of the Clean Energy Corporation Australia, has gathered the statistical analyses from many of the world’s leading economists to see what effect renewable energy may have on the economy. Having now completed this review, Kobacker has posted his findings directly to his personal website. Interestingly, Kobacker has found that the costs associated with renewable energy often pay for themselves within ten years, thanks in large part to its role in creating new jobs. In fact, Kobacker estimates that as many as six million jobs could be created by 2030, with savings reaching as high as $4.2 trillion. Given that renewable energy costs are estimated at around $290 billion, Kobacker is confident that investment in renewable energy is a smart strategy for both the climate and the economy.
